The power of photo memories —
My granddaughter was sitting on the kitchen floor drinking very diluted juice (à la La Croix) and looking up at me, and I immediately remembered the picture I had of her father sitting in a cooking pot at around the same age. One of his favorite things to do was play with and sit in my pots and pans. So I grabbed my biggest pot for this wee one and realized that it wasn’t nearly as large as those of yesteryear, but she still fit. And then boom, I was back in 1995!
Approximately the same age, 27ish years apart. 🥰
I love seeing my children in their children. Even if they don’t look just like them, when you see them do certain things, like the way they raise their eyebrows or snicker in the same way, it’s such a joyful trip down memory lane.
