My session with the D Family was a two-parter because if we don’t have a great experience and get the results we desire the first time, we try again. At our first attempt, the temps dipped and the wind kicked in, making it difficult for all of us, but downright miserable for the baby. So, we opted to cut it short and aim for warmer days. Still, we managed to capture a good handful of great moments, mostly of their eldest cutie-pie.
As you can see, the littlest little man was not having it.
I’m never too opposed to going through with an outdoor session in the colder months, but kiddos will have the final say.
When we met up again, it went so so so much better! We laughed, we played, and snuggled, and it was just perfect! (And those handsome boys had some big changes in the months between.)
Would you believe we were in the same location for both sessions? Huge differences in seasons here in Colorado!
When you have known people for so long that you knew them before they were a couple, it’s even more exciting to get the chance to photograph them as a growing family. I’ve had this honor with many of my families, and sometimes I only get to work with a family once, but every single time, it’s such a blessing to get to tell a little part of their big story.
